concept Three

I liked the idea of the other concepts however i couldn't work out how the quilt would look, would the lion be slightly looking at you or facing to the side the way it is. so i had another think. i really wanted to lion to symbolize Leon, and i really liked the idea of the fire hair, however i didn't 100% like the one with the hair. so i was looking at some lions for inspiration, then i found an image of a lion rawing and then it hit me, have the woman in the lions mouth. so i tried it.


i liked the concept, i thought it was easy to look at and people could understand there's a bed in the mouth etc. ( no colour version since its easy to understand whats what )

so i had my base concept i then added some detail into the design to make meself and others understand alittle better whats happening.



i then continued to add detail, i wanted agood idea how this design will look before i do the design for real. so i added a plate to the bottom because i wasent sure if we needed to add the name or not. however i do not like it so i decided not to go in that direction just yet.


i loved the general shape so far, however i felt there wasn't going to be the requited space inside the mouth to get a good looking fire effect from the hair, so i made the mouth a bit longer to see what it would look like ( i kept both this version and the new version just in-case ).


the next thing i needed to do was to fix the mouth. if you noticed from the image above i tried a different way of joining the longer mouth to its body, however i found that it dident look right, so i fixed that, i all so wanted to add a crown to the lion, for the word kings of Leon, all thought none of them are kings or lions i wanted to put the symbolic items in the design for the look of it, i was very happy of the outcome by this point.



at this point it was just about adding detail to the design. i also wanted hair, i tried to go for that blond curly hair that looks like its had a roller in or something, however i couldn't seem to get it right, so i tried normal hair. I'm not 100% happy with the hair, it might need tweaking or removing full stop. i allso added a badge like object to the crown, i was going to add the name in this however i feel it looks quite out of place so this is another thing i might consider removing.

concept two

so carrying on with my progress i still felt there was something missing, so after some thinking time i added a lions head at the end of the hair, i wanted it to blend with the fire in a scene that it looked like it was apart of it, but all so not give away the illusion of the hair.

Continued Concept

I imaged the concept to me full size, and i wasn't happy with the idea that the fire would end at the edge of the image size, i prefer to have everything in the image. so i modified it a bit more and added a swirl to the image

First Concept

The first concept i came up with was a female with her hair on fire, with her hair covering most of her body as she lies in bed. i then wanted to add some form of icon so i decided to ad a cigarette in her hand. this is both a black and white version and a colored so it gives a better idea of the shape.
